Districts that have students using the Text-to-Speech accommodations on the STAAR A need to practice during the school year. Schools who want to use this accommodation should be using similar accommodations during the school year with day-to-day tests to familiarize the students with similar tools. Kurzweil 3000-firefly allows you to import or scan tests and material into an audio visual format. Students can adjust the reading speed, size of text, color background, and look up definitions/synonyms/pictures. Teachers can add bubble notes similar to the "Pop up" feature in STAAR A to scaffold questions or provide more support. Come learn more!
